Nothing Gold Can Stay

Well, last year in english we read The Outsiders, one of the greatest books ever! (Right, taylor =D) And i loved the poem that was in it, Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost. So, i finally found it (or actually thought to look it up on the internet):

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day
Nothing gold can stay.
~Robert Frost

Just another 1 i have heard of before and i think we also read it last year for the poetry unit:

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
~Robert Frost

Three Things;

1. Woah! I'm in that list of blogs.... cool... thanks... Time to make one and put you in it...

2. Whose Line is so good. I love Ryan Stiles (in a conventional sense). Though Colin, Dwayne and Greg are good too...

3. The Muse Albums;

Showbiz (1999)
Origin of Symmetry (2002)
Absolution (2004)
Black Holes and Revelations (2006)

Hullabaloo (2003)
H.A.A.R.P. (2008)

I'd advise either Absolution or Origin next, if you were planning to but another. Or even, H.A.A.R.P. (which was my first Muse album). Muse have been voted best live act so many times - they are bloody fantastic! I'd die to see a concert of theirs. That's all the advice I can give at the moment :) Hope it helps...

Eyes Open by Snow Patrol is a great album. I've got it and the other one whose name I can't recall. Though i don't really like their first album. Did you know I was born 10 kilometres away from were the lead singer in Snow Patrol was. Pretty awesome, eh? They're from Northern Ireland, just like me...

I said Dwayne instead of Wayne.... I'm an idiot...

Oh, and, I've already read Eragon and eldest. they are alright though the shitty movie sorta ruined it...

And HelloGoodbye is one of your fav artists? Big LOLs!

'Shimmy Shimmy Quarter Turn...'

10 kilometres is somewhere around 6.6 miles. The Last Goodnight suck! Too mainstream. And Shimmy Shimmy Quarter Turn is a HelloGoodbye song. One of their singles. It's an interesting song. Quite strange though. Here (In Your Arms) was a good song... at its time. It's just old now....
